Pamela Brumbley Photography
My featured artist of the week is photographer Pamela Brumbley. Pam graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2005. I had the pleasure of spending a summer in Provence with Pam, where we studied photography together, and that's when I learned about Pam's passion for outdoor photography. She has a wonderful eye for catching the subtle beauty of nature. Her images evoke a dream-like quality, while being technically proficient.
"When I look through a lens I see things in a different light. I look for the simple things, the quiet, and the desolate. I like foggy mornings, starry nights, and sparkly water. I enjoy outdoor photography most, but I have also dabbed into portraiture and still life. I feel that being a well rounded artist is a beautiful thing."-- Pamela Brumbley
What I love most about Pam's work is that she uses color and light effectively to convey an otherwise indefinable mood.
