I have been in a cloud of b l a h for the past month. Things have been hard, but there is a light at the end of the tunnel (at least I presume there is). I have been neglecting this here blog and I promise to get back into it, full swing.
This is my latest project. Still not complete, much more to do.
Halloween is next Friday. I still don't have a costume, any ideas?
Polaroid Submission Update!
I would like to announce that my Polaroid submission to Light Leaks Magazine has been selected to publish in next month's issue! The good news couldn't have come at a better time for me and I'm very, very happy! I encourage everyone to check out the website of the guest photo editor Aline Smithson. Her portraits are beautiful and you can also find a link to her blog, lenscratch, under my essential reading.
Thanks to all my family and friends who helped me decide on the perfect Polaroid to submit!
pesco-vegetarian challenge: day one
Lately some of my best friends have stopped eating meat and have become vegetarians. To clarify, Pam is a true vegetarian whereas Jessica and Lea are pesco-vegetarian. Pescetarianism is a vegetarian diet that includes fish. At first I wasn't ready to jump on the non-meat train, but now I'm starting to become inspired to do so.
I am a chicken-lover, a yard bird fan if you will. That is going to be my biggest struggle in this veggie-only challenge. Chicken is so easy to find, so easy to make, so easy to eat. Its really the only meat I eat and my number one source of protein. I also enjoy a good sausage whether it be chicken or turkey sausage. How can I replace my favorite trader joe's chicken and jalepeno sausage? These make some of my best dinners during the week!
Well, I'm going to find a way to replace these things. I'll have to be creative and get my veggie juices flowing. Does anyone want to join me in the veggie challenge? Please, hop aboard the meatless train! Our final destination is to feel healthier and realize you don't need to eat meat. You can survive on things that grow from trees and in the ground.
Vegetarian lifestyle here I come?
